Quadron's Coco Sounds Good In Any Language

I believe it was poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow who said, "Music is the universal language of mankind." And boy was he right. Not many other forms of expression have been able to break down language barriers, bringing people together based solely on the strength of the music. Les Nubians did it in the '90s, leaving many of us singing lyrics in French, regardless of whether we understood it or not. When something is good, it can be good in any language. Which brings us to the latest offering from Quadron's vocalist, Coco. After jumping across the water for collaborations from American artists such as The Internet and Chip the Ripper, she heads back home to Denmark to work with Copenhagen-based outfit When Saints Go Machine. Sung completely in Danish, "Hos Mig Igen" was originally made popular by Danish pop singer, Xander. While I've never heard the original version, the 2012 update is a bonafied jam. Coco's ethereal voice works magic on this, even though I have absolutely no clue what she's singing about. Not a single word is uttered in English, but when the result sounds this good, who cares what the topic is? Just sit back and enjoy this other-worldly ride.
