Sy Smith dug deep in the crates to find an often overlooked R&B groove to remake on her new album, Fast and Curious, officially available on Tuesday, March 6th. Billy Ocean's 1981 song "Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)" has not only gotten "Syberized," but it's been turned into a duet with the marvelous addition of Rahsaan Patterson. With Sy alone, this song would have been something special, but with Rahsaan in the mix it's taken to another level altogether. Their voices are like a master class in How to Sing 101, and the song is soul clap and dance floor ready. And let's not forget Mark de Clive-Lowe on production. The combination platter of those three explodes into pure magic on this party on your iPod.
