Cedric The Entertainer Wants To Have 'Sex Witchoo' In 'The Soul Man'

Apparently I need to start watching TV Land because I've been missing out on Cedric the Entertainer's guest role on the sitcom, Hot in Cleveland, as an R&B-singer-turned-preacher. One thing that I won't be missing, however, is his spinoff, The Soul Man, which will be premiering this June on the cable network. The half-hour comedy will star Ceddy as Reverend Boyce "The Voice" Ballentine with Niecy Nash and Wesley Jonathan among the actors rounding out the cast. To whet appetites for the upcoming series, TV Land and Cedric released a "new old" video of the song that made Boyce a legend, "Sex Witchoo." Meant to mimic the cheesy corniness of many a music video from the early '80s, Ced turns his Percy Miracles (copyright Phonte) swag on with a jheri curl wig, gold chains, and more polyester than you can shake a tailfeather at. He's joined on set by three shapely backup singers (one of which plays a mean saxophone) and his lady who he wants to get it on with as he sings his hilariously risque lyrics. If The Soul Man is anything as funny as this, then I'll be tuned in every week.
