This Mar Cover Of Nina Simone Is 'Just In Time'

Singer Mar is clearly on a mission to cause a serious uptick in procreation. After releasing what was surely the soundtrack to many adult extracurricular activities that took place over the weekend in the form of his EP Seeing Her Naked, he kickstarts the work week with an added dose of awesome with a cover of Nina Simone's "Just In Time." Armed with just an acoustic guitar and his soothing vocals, he repurposes Simone's bouncy, jazzy version into an achingly beautiful and restrained prelude to something greater. Seriously though, the man could likely sing the Barney theme song and make it sound like the most seductive of sentiments. I could go on and on, but really, what more is there to say? Feast your eyes and ears upon this clip and let us know if Mar's rendition's move you just as much. And while you're at it, be sure to check out past clips from the "Nina Simone (A)Live Sessions." with Joya Mooi's haunting take on "I Put a Spell On You" and Pien Feith's thoroughly modernized take on "Black Is the Color of My True Love's Hair."
