Major Lazer & Amber Coffman 'Get Free' In Jamaica

It was a little over four months ago that Major Lazer, the dancehall-meets-electro flavored project of DJ/producer Diplo (partner Switch, though still somewhat present, has dropped from the fold), released its hypnotic single "Get Free," which features Dirty Projectors' Amber Coffman on vocals. Now we finally have not only information about the album that will house the single, but also an accompanying video. Tapping into the song's lovers rock feel, the video is a bit of a love letter to Jamaican culture. It not only focuses on the country's clubs and nightlife, but also on the spirit of the people and their culture (or, at least, as much as they can fit in between scenes of young people dancing and winin' like there's no tomorrow). "Get Free" is the first taste of the upcoming album Free the Universe, which will also include cameos from Bruno Mars, Wyclef, Shaggy, Wynter Gordon and more. Get into the striking visuals below and mark the album's November 6th release date on your calendars.
