José James Has Something For 'Your Body'

Actually, José James has something for your mind, body and soul with his new EP, It's All Over Your Body, which hit iTunes exclusively yesterday. The five-song collection serves as his unofficial introduction on his new label home, Blue Note Records, with his official full-length album debut scheduled to drop on January 22, 2013. That date may seem far away (and it is), but it's good to finally have a concrete release date for his next album as well as this EP, which is serving as a nice warm-up for the musical workout to come. Contained on It's All Over Your Body is the song "Trouble," which is iTunes Single of the Week now so get it for the low price of free while the getting is good; a duet with Emily King on the track "Come To My Door," where their voices blend beautifully on a smooth acoustic production; and the EP's title cut in its original form and with a DJ Spinna remix and remix instrumental added for good measure. "It's All Over Your Body" follows in the sensual footsteps of several songs from James' catalog (personal favorites "Lay You Down" and "Love Conversation" immediately come to mind) and combines jazz, soul and hip hop with his signature style. With cold-weather cuddle season drawing nigh, this song is very necessary for your after-hours playlists. Then again, where José James is concerned, anytime is the right time.
