"Mista Tin Man" is the latest offering from singer, songwriter, producer, musician and Berklee College of Music student, Bianca Raquel, and the third track from her upcoming album, The Detox. Once again, Bianca's voice shines atop the piece's instrumental backdrop with its beautiful mix of a cappella harmonies and a single violinist. She pulls no punches, opening straightforwardly with the line "You're an asshole/But you try to play the nice guy card." Alternately dripping with sweetness, attitude and remorse, her vocal tonality choices cleverly mimic both the picture of the heartless individual she so vividly (and passionately) verbally paints for us and the roller coaster of emotions he subsequently sets her on. The accompanying video, which you can peep after the bounce, is an amalgamation of wittily chosen clips from movies, TV shows and cartoons ranging from Dawson's Creek, to Johnny Bravo (a highly appropriate choice for her message), to Deliver Us From Eva, to, of course, the requisite 1939 movie classic, The Wizard of Oz starring Judy Garland. WIth The Detox scheduled for an early 2013 release, you won't have to wait that long to get a piece of Bianca Raquel as she is giving away this track for free on SoundCloud while we wait expectantly for more of her goodness.
