Back in August, we brought you the news that SoulBounce faves The Decoders would be releasing the follow up to their excellent The Decoders Vol. 1 on The Decoders Vol. 2. In the EPK video for the project we heard a short snippet of the first single from the EP, a cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David/Dionne Warwick classic "Walk On By," featuring Los Angeles-based songstress Noelle Scaggs (currently of Fitz & The Tantrums, formerly of The Rebirth) on vocals, and now we have the full track for your listening pleasure. Staying true to their word, the guys have kept the lover's rock/dub-reggae vibe that made their debut so very special, but they have also added more instrumental elements, resulting in a fuller, richer sound that suits this cover in particular. Noelle delivers in spades on the vocal front, effortlessly flitting between reserved, sweet soul on the verses and belting out the choruses, particularly on the latter portion of the track. Also slated for inclusion on Vol. 2 is another Bacharach/David/Warwick classic, "I Say A Little Prayer For You," as well as vocal contributions from Raul Midón and Bounce-Worthy songstress Alex Isley. "Walk On By" will be available from October 16th via iTunes, Amazon and the band's official Bandcamp page.
