When I first heard Lianne La Havas' music, with its soulful undertones and folksy guitars, I would never have imagined that it would spawn such a remixing frenzy by some of the biggest names in electronic, dance, house and bass music. A quick Google search brings up dozens up on dozens of examples but my favorite so far has to be Two Inch Punch's take on "Forget," from the EP of the same name. However, Shadow Child's treatment of album cut "Elusive" is right on its heels, stripping the track's acoustic backbone and replacing it with a thumping house beat that shouldn't work alongside Lianne's feathery vocal delivery, but somehow does. In fact it's rare I prefer a remix to the original, but this may be an exception to that rule.
