Alicia Keys Continues To Spread Her ‘Brand’ Of ‘Fire’ All Over The World

It's a great time to be Alicia Keys. In the past month alone, she has performed for President Barack Obama, she premiered her film, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete at the Sundance festival, Girl on Fire has been certified platinum, she celebrated her 32nd birthday and she'll be singing her own Aliciafied version of the "National Anthem" come Super Bowl Sunday on February 3rd. As if all of that is not enough, she recently hit up The Jonathan Ross Show and delivered a beautiful, nearly flawless version of "Brand New Me." Much like the first time I heard the song performed, she kept it simple, needing only her piano for assistance. Decked out in a cutesy black and white paneled dress and strappy heels, she sat in the hot seat prior to her performance and touched on a few topics ranging from flipping "Girl on Fire" to "Obama's On Fire," to the reason why her son referred to himself as "Showtime" on "When It's All Over" to Snoop Lion (or is Mr. Broadus Snoop Dogg again?), and she even belted out a few bars of "Empire State of Mind." I know the BeyHive's buzz is getting louder with each passing day, and eventually we'll all willingly or begrudgingly succumb to its call, but I'm loving the heat emanating from Mrs. Dean's fire right now. I hope (probably in vain) that when the Queen Bee cements her return, it doesn't damper too much the good thing Alicia has going. If you're feeling The Emancipation of Lili too, be sure to hit the bounce for the interview footage.
