Despite being told as much, I'm still finding it difficult to believe that production duo BenZel are only 15 and 16 years of age. Their futuristic takes on '90's R&B classics are even more impressive given the fact that they weren't even born when the songs they are covering/interpolating were released. Oh, and the fact that they are besting people who began making music when these boys were still a glint in their parents' eyes. In addition to creating great music, the pair are releasing some snappy visuals, too. The video accompaniment for their first track, the Jessie Ware-assisted "Say It," was a trippy, multi-colored affair but that is nothing in comparison to the Haley Wollens-directed video for their latest track "Fallin' Love." Set at a hippy-esque house party and featuring a bevy of DayGlo-clad ladies, the video is a trippy assault on both your eyes and ears. I can't wait to see what these kids cook up next.
