Brace Yourself For Jared Shanklin's 'Hurricane'

Rising soul crooner Jared Shanklin is storming the internet as he prepares for the release of his second project, Keep You Warm. His current single, "Hurricane," plays as a funky weather report that serves to warn listeners that this Baltimore, Maryland native is on his way and bringing the heat. "Now listen here sugar, I done already told y'all that the hurricane was coming. Why you still hanging outside?" he bellows. Shanklin recently graced the stage of Washington, DC's Howard Theatre, where he shared a special moment with R&B diva Faith Evans and sang an impromptu rendition of her hit song "Soon As I Get Home." Following up to his 2012 Christmas In July EP, Shanklin has prepared Keep You Warm, which is said to pull inspiration from the likes of Stevie Wonder, D'Angelo and gospel music's greatest girl group, The Clark Sisters. Jared Shanklin's "Hurricane" is now available on iTunes and Bandcamp.
