On the tail end of a work day, we could all use a strong groove to bring us back to life, and "I Wanna Know How It Feels Inside, Of U" by DāM-FunK put the spring back into my step. This jam is simplistic in nature and features no lyrics outside of the title repeated throughout. The track sounds like something on a funktastic '80s Zapp or Cameo record, and I am quite all right with that. There was a time when I thought vocal manipulation devices like the vocoder had fallen out of vogue and didn't have a place in music anymore. This track demonstrates that there are smart ways to utilize these techniques to produce a jam that is modern yet nostalgic at the same time. "I Wanna Know How It Feels Inside, Of U" would serve as the perfect track to ease down to after a long day or as the soundtrack to ease into something else, if you know what I mean.
