The Preatures have dubbed themselves rock n' roll, but from hearing their single "Is This How You Feel?" I beg to differ. Rubbery funk with a rock-a-billy twist is where this up-and-coming quintet from the Land Down Under are taking their sound, and they splash right into Purple Paisley territory with this exceptional head and rump shaker. True, there are jangling guitars and an obvious roll to the rock they reel in, but when front-woman Isabella Manfredi begins vocally slaying (and boy does she pack a soulful wallop) over some fat bass licks, the spirit of Prince from '80's past is resurrected, and yes, all the feels are to be had.
