Zewdy & Jo Mersa Deliver Some 'Sweet Melodies'

Though we are several weeks away from the official chiming in of summer, rays of musical sunshine just keep pouring in. Now, I don't know much about up-in-comer and former Solange Knowles back-up singer Zewdy, but I soon became well-versed on her talent when I took a trip through her YouTube channel, which boasts over 100 cover songs from the likes of Groove Theory to Adele as well as over 50,000 subscribers. Wowza. She really beams down correct on her latest and original composition, a swaying tropical-R&B number called "Lover Lover (Sweet Melodies)." Featuring some reggae flavor from Jo Mersa (son of Stephen Marley and grandson of the legendary Bob Marley) and Zewdy's charismatic vocal stylings, "Lover Lover" is primed to either be played while strolling the shoreline or just kicking back with a sangria in the comfort of your air-conditioned home. So however you create hot fun in the summertime be sure to add this rising new talent and her radiant R&B groove somewhere in the rotation.
