Fantasia has been giving her all this summer. This week she took to BET to perform "Without Me," the second single off of her latest album Side Effects of You. This is a big record that is accompanied by an even bigger music video. Personally, I envisioned the first televised performance being received by an audience a bit grander than that of Bow Wow's 106 & Park flock. Nonetheless, even with Kelly Rowland missing in action, Fantasia blazed the stage with her background singers filling in the void. Of course, the climax of the performance was being able to watch Missy Elliott spit her verse with energy and attitude, as only she can. Although the performance was solid, I can't help but think that BET missed the mark by not including this hip-hop soul moment of epic "Ladies Night" proportions during the 2013 BET Awards.
