Justin Timberlake Takes The 'Night' & Reunites With *NSYNC At The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards

In all of the kerfuffle of ratchet that was at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards last night there were a few beacons of hope that showed that music isn't a lost art, and one of those that shined was none other than Justin Timberlake. The music gods would have it so my viewing of Breaking Bad ended right at the exact moment Timberlake stormed out on stage with current single "Take Back the Night," and he kept the party going by performing a medley of all of his hits, bringing the energy and style of his live show to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Prior to that Timberlake was introduced by bosom buddy and comedic partner Jimmy Fallon who dubbed Timberlake the "President of Pop" and later presented him with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. All well and good, but the real buzzed about moment of the segment was the reunion of Timberlake's former group, *NSYNC. After rumors and denouncements from members, the fivesome did indeed regroup on stage and performed signature hits "Girlfriend" and "Bye Bye Bye" to a pleasing crowd. Yeah, they were a little out of sync, and I've cooked rice longer than they were on stage, but this was a nice love letter to the fans to see them back together for nostalgia sake, and believe me, I was 13-years-old all over again watching them groove on stage and loving every minute of it. To get whisked into the dirty pop of Timberlake and *NSYNC take a peek after the bounce for the full performance.
