Sam Smith Is Searching For 'Nirvana'

Sam Smith may have catapulted himself into the limelight singing R&B-laced house-pop with the likes of Disclosure and Naughty Boy, but when it comes to his solo material he has reigned things in a little. With introductory single "Lay Me Down," follow-up "Lonely Hour" and more recently "Safe With Me," Sam showed us that his classically soulful vocals are a perfect match for more mellow yet still modern production. His latest single "Nirvana" follows in the footsteps of his previous releases, with a full, rich sound backed by synthesized strings and pounding drums, and once again we get to hear Sam deliver those soaring highs we first heard on "Latch." "Nirvana" was produced by Craze & Hoax (the guys behind Emeli Sandé's "Next To Me") and will feature on Sam's upcoming EP, due out on PMR Records later this year.
