I admit that I dozed a bit on Emeli Sandé's ballad heavy debut album, last year's Our Version of Events, but I still appreciate that she's around. Not just because she rocks a polished style and a gorgeous golden coif, but that voice of hers is quite the peerless instrument and one of rarity in this day and age. Yesterday, Sandé put her instrument on high display when she made an appearance on The Queen Latifah Show to promote her latest US single "My Kind of Love." Of course she brought class and crystal clear diction to the daytime talk show, and well, I'm being too polite -- she pretty much sang her rump off. You better believe that Emeli Sandé is a force, and if you haven't been convinced (or need to be reminded) be sure you check this performance, and stick around to the end, as Miss Sandé schools the masses with Vocalizing 101.
