K-Ci & JoJo Put On Quite A Show For Tom Joyner

K-Ci & JoJo recently stopped by the Tom Joyner Morning Show to chat and perform in the Red Velvet Cake Studio. The only things sweet about their performance were the matching black outfits they donned, giving us old school swag with shiny black shoes and all. But seriously, the R&B duo has come a long way and after a decade, they're on a mission to relaunch their music careers. As promo for their upcoming album My Brother's Keeper, which will be released on September 30th, the duo sang "Life" and "If You Think You're Lonely Now." What I loved about the performance, besides Tom Joyner's fervent jig throughout the nine-minute video, was no matter how many notes missed or dropped, the two brothers saw each other through it. K-Ci, whose voice is extra raspy as of late, hit his signature "ohhh yeah" like no other. I'll give him props for his enthusiasm because the way JoJo's vocals were set up, well, he was primarily in the background. Don't miss the breakdown at the end of the performance when you watch the in-studio shenanigans, I mean performance.
