Margot Bingham Takes The Stage On 'Boardwalk Empire' Soundtrack

If you're a fan of HBO's Boardwalk Empire, then chances are you are counting your lucky stars now that the acclaimed show has returned for its fourth season. In addition to seeing the show's regulars, viewers may notice a new face in town when Margot Bingham makes her bow on the season's third episode as Daughter Maitland, a nightclub singer at Chalky White's (portrayed by actor Michael K. Williams) Onyx Club. The show's newest addition is sure to stir up some drama when she finds herself caught up in a steamy affair with one of the other Boardwalk characters. Drama won't be the only thing she's making, though, as the singer-actress' music will provide the backdrop for some of the show's action. Two of the original songs that she performs on the show are also featured on the show's recently-released soundtrack Boardwalk Empire Volume 2: Music from the HBO Original Series, which also features tracks from Elvis Costello, Rufus Wainright and more. One of the songs, "Going Down South," was tapped to serve as the soundtrack's first single. Margot, who has also performed alongside Snarky Puppy and Jason Mraz and released her debut album in 2005, is keeping busy until her shooting star takes off. She also is starring in the web series In Between Men and has an upcoming show at Brooklyn's Academy of Music. Bounce on over to her website to learn more about Boardwalk Empire's latest addition.
