Katy B's back to giving us something we can feel, as her latest single "5 AM" is a potent rush of electronic pulses that continues her on the war path to reviving '90's dance floor scorchers with the greatest of ease. Even though Miss B is musing about some early morning loving that will calm her down and knock her out "like Valium," "5 AM" doesn't balk on bringing some serious synth heat that rattles with nocturnal vibes and takes one into a rousing fever pitch. Whew. As I felt that her summer single "What Love Is Made Of" was kind of slept on, I'm hoping "5 AM" is given a bit more love as it's one joint that you can crank up whether the sun is setting or just beginning to rise.
