Is A Lady Gaga & R. Kelly Collabo Really 'What U Want'?

While R. Kelly has worked with a multitude of people in his 20-plus year career, somehow his collaboration with out there pop queen Lady Gaga came out of left field. But they have collaborated and the end result is Gaga's current single "Do What U Want." While the overly synthy and pulsing production of the track is definitely a pop confection, Kelly manages to add a nice bit of R&B grit with his turn at a verse and chorus ("I can be the drink in your cup/the green in your blunt," he sings at one point -- he's so edgy). However, the most interesting thing about the track are the Christina Aguilera-isms that Gaga employs throughout the track's nearly four minutes. Surely flexing the hell out of her diaphragm, the "Poker Face" diva applies The Aguilerian™ Technique of sing/screaming notes when she wants to make sure that the audience knows that she's really feeling that particular part of the song. While I (and presumably most of you Bouncers out there) don't necessarily look to Gaga when I want to hear quality music, I wouldn't necessarily be mad if I heard this joint during a night out. However, I wouldn't rush to put it into my collection either. But if you're even slightly curious about what it an R. Kelly/Lady Gaga collaboration sounds like, you'll definitely want to take a listen below.
