Mark de Clive-Lowe Wants To Take Us To 'CHURCH' With Your Help

Regular readers will not be surprised that Mark de Clive-Lowe is held in high regard here at SBHQ. Back in 2011 he was named our Producer of the Year and his Renegades album made into our top 16 albums as well as gaining a highly favorable review. Last year he took a step to the left -- if that is possible for MdCL -- with the release of Take the Space Trane, a collaborative effort with The Rotterdamn Jazz Orchestra, and now he is gearing up to release his eleventh studio project CHURCH, an album based on his highly successful LA/NYC/worldwide live shows that will feature some of the show's guests. Rather than taking the conventional route and getting the album signed to a label, Mark has decided the time is now right to go the fully independent route and so has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the $16,764 necessary to record, mix, master and manufacture the album. His reasons for going this route can be heard in the video after the bounce, along with information on the direction of the album. The project will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats, and as you can see from the Kickstarter page, there are a range of great incentives to back the album, ranging from getting your hands on the album early, right through to a personal gig at your home. So folks, if you have a spare few dollars, consider backing what will likely be one of 2014's musical highlights.
