A couple of weeks back we brought 19-year-old singer/songwriter Denai Moore to your attention after deeming her Bounce-Worthy thanks to her beautiful EP Saudade. Now she is gearing up to release her follow up project The Lake, on November 4th to be exact, and on the strength of the title track, Denai has another winner on her hands. Described as a blend of her idol Lauryn Hill and her recent love of more folk-sounding acts such as Bon Iver and Feist, "The Lake" features Denai's gorgeous vocals backed by just piano and acoustic guitar. I can't pinpoint exactly what it is about this young lady's voice, but as soon as she starts to sing she has my undivided attention.
