For those who've been sleeping, it's time to wake up and take notice as this song is now Donell's new single. No, it's not a remake of the Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack classic, but the sentiment is similar with Donell wanting to cozy up to his honey bun. Despite Alja Kamillion being listed as a featured artist, this actually isn't a duet; she only provides background vocals and ad libs. The "Closer I Get To You" is Donell Jones' show and he's laying it on his leading lady nice and smooth.
