Come On Over To Michael Jackson's New 'Place'

Shortly after Michael Jackson's untimely passing in 2009, gossip site TMZ leaked a short snippet of an unreleased MJ track titled "Place With No Name." Though speculation flew about the snippet's origins, not much was unveiled about the track other than its obvious sample of America's "A Horse With No Name" and the hoopla surrounding it pretty much fizzled. That is, however, until the full-length version of the track leaked yesterday. Instead of just sampling "A Horse With No Name," it seems that "A Place With No Name" is actually MJ's reinterpretation of the classic song. Much of the original's melodic structure is intact, with only the lyrics changing. Sounding slightly reminiscent of some of Michael's Bad era output, the track finds him in fine voice as he tells the story of meeting an enchanting woman who takes him to places he's never been. Seeing as this is a leaked track, there's no confirmation on when (or if) the song will ever be released officially or how it came to be (nor is there confirmation if all of the vocal here is Michael). That being said, it's nice to think that there could possibly be some new MJ heading our way some time soon. Take a listen to the track right here and let us know what you think.
