In case you’re living under a rock, the Super Bowl is this weekend. While we’re looking forward to football, the entertainment is just as exciting. VH1’s Super Bowl Blitz, which features six acts performing over the course of six nights, has had some great performances. Case in point, last night TLC took the stage at New York City’s Beacon Theater. The concert series, awkwardly hosted by Nick Cannon and Stacy Keibler, already had J.Cole, Janelle Monáe and Fall Out Boy take stages across NYC. On Thursday night's line-up was Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins who kicked off their show with a raucous drumline of dancers in football jerseys and an appearance by Doug E. Fresh. Throughout the show the duo performed their hits and kept up with the times with some fresh choreography, even doing the Nae Nae and Doug E. Fresh came back to teach the audience the Dougie. T-Boz was visibly winded after the intermission, but the duo still managed to offer sultry performances for "Creep" and "Red Light Special." After an energy-packed show TLC slowed things down with "Waterfalls" featuring a glitzy choir. Although Left Eye’s presence is still missed, her spirit was evident throughout the show and her "Waterfalls" verse was adorned with a performance by ballerina Misty Copeland. Overall with costume changes, fun choreography and breakdowns, T-Boz and Chilli, who are working on new music, delivered for the New York audience. Ending their performance with a heart-warming "Meant 2 Be," TLC proved they are definitely meant to be back on stage.
