It looks like the performances were the best part of this year’s Super Bowl, no explanation needed. Before the game started however, royalty took the stage in the form of Queen Latifah. The music, film and television star (because she does everything) performed “America The Beautiful,” backed by the heavenly voices of the New Jersey Youth Chorus. The harmonious performance was perfect for Queen’s solid voice, which never wavers. Keeping it short and sweet, Queen put her soul into the patriotic song, giving it her all at the end. It was indeed a beautiful performance and the perfect start to an interesting game.
