Like many international music listeners we were first introduced to multitalented Norwegian soulman Bernhoft via his mesmerizing performance of "C'mon Talk" on Ellen back in 2011. Since then we have checked out his impressive back catalogue (Ceramik City Chronicles, 1: Man 2: Band) and his subsequent releases (Solidarity Breaks, Walk With Me - Live At Chateau Neuf), all of which have us eager for his next project. We will soon be able to add his upcoming album, Islander, to that list when it hits shelves this June, preceded by the project's lead single "Come Around." While the track isn't the instant ear-worm that "C'mon Talk" was, Bernhoft's funk-fuelled brand of soul is still front-and-center and the accompanying video, which features Bernhoft singing underwater surrounded by synchronized swimmers, is a fun affair.
