Pharrell Williams & The UN Foundation Gear Up For An International Day Of Happiness

When he’s not strutting down red carpets with oversized hats and too-short pants, Pharrell Williams is saving the world one smile at a time. SoulBounce’s Man of the Year has teamed up with the United Nations Foundation to celebrate the International Day of Happiness on March 20th. Why? Because music knows no borders and based on the amount of remakes and viral videos, Pharrell's uptempo ditty really has made everyone in the world happier. Beginning at noon on March 20th, set aside a whole 24 hours to embrace your inner happy. You probably knew this already, but as a reminder, the General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution 66/281 of July 12, 2012, proclaimed March 20th, also the first day of spring, the International Day of Happiness. Almost as if Pharrell and his super powers (housed in his Arby hat) predicted his talents could be of use, “Happy” came right on time and has quickly become the theme song to everything happy-related. Since happiness is contagious, go ahead and blare “Happy” and invite folks to your happy party. Using the hashtag #HappyDay you can submit a photo or video promoting your happiness to the 24HoursofHappiness website.
