Kierra Sheard Remembers When She Was 'Lost'

While in the midst of taping the second season of her family’s hit BET reality series The Sheards and recording her fifth album, Kierra Sheard has teamed up with inspirational author Sarah Jakes to bring forth a song for the lost. In promotion of Jakes’ new book Lost And Found, Sheard is offering up an emotional anthem named “#DearLostMe.” The song finds the young songstress singing from the perspective of someone broken and battered with the impeccable production of Dexter Jakes serving as the foundation. “I think I should leave right now/I gotta fight for me right now,” she sings boldly.

Not only is this moment incredible for the song itself, but it’s also good for the opportunity to see gospel royalty, like Karen Clark-Sheard’s daughter and the children of Bishop T.D. Jakes, joining forces to strengthen the next generation of young believers. “#DearLostMe” is now available for free download via Bandcamp and while you're clicking away, be sure to visit Sarah Jakes’ website to pre-order a copy of Lost And Found.
