After three buzz singles, multiple false starts and push backs, Mariah Carey is still dedicated to her forthcoming “surprise” album. She sat down with Radio.com to spill more details on what’s to eventually come. She reveals that she recorded her new music in the most lavish places across the world from Capri to Puerto Rico and even adds that she has teamed back up with legendary producer and emcee Q-Tip. The two friends originally worked together alongside Diddy and Stevie J. while penning Carey’s 1997 hit “Honey." Of course, no Mariah Carey interview is complete without her odd and quirky rambling. She goes on to mention some sort of riff she’s having with Tip over mixing and then continues to fawn over her yearly Christmas album and bemoan about having a hard pregnancy. We’re all still a bit leery of her putting Jermaine Dupri in control of this album and confused as to the way that it’s been handled thus far, but here’s to hoping that we get to hear some quality music from this legendary diva before the year ends.
