Kelis has been bringing it during the promotional cycle for her new album, FOOD, and she continued her hot streak last night on Conan. There to perform her single "Rumble," Ms. Rogers channeled her inner Tina Turner while rocking a fringed teal dress and big hair as she and her stellar band gave the song a workout. The band and singer were on point, with the hot horns matching Kelis' sultry vocal as she sang of pushing away her lover with one hand and pulling him back with the other. Though not my favorite track from her (damn good) new album, the energy and soul that Kelis put into this performance was enough to make anybody start singing along with her on the chorus.
