We Can't Be 'Lowkey' About Rochelle Jordan

Rojo Shades Coral Lip

It's been nearly two years since Toronto songstress Rochelle Jordan dropped her last freEP, and we here at SBHQ have been pretty much been feenin' from new material from her direction ever since. She briefly appeased our appetites with single "Follow Me" and she continues to tease more to come with her latest release, "Lowkey." The smooth track produced by frequent collaborator KLSH finds ROJO contemplating whether or not she should act on feelings she's having for a friend. Yes, the track sounds similar to Rochelle's favorite muse, Aaliyah, but at this point, if it ain't broke, there's no need to fix it. And it most certainly ain't broke. Her breathy delivery over the atmospheric production is too good to pass up and the smooth mid-tempo groove is just what the impending summer days need. With her profile rising higher and higher these days and her music sounding this good, expect big things to come from Rochelle in the near future.
