If you haven’t already been sold on Mary J. Blige’s new album disguised as the soundtrack for Think Like A Man Too, then this record may be just what you need to hear. She has already given us classic fed up Mary on “Suitcase” as well as took her time to show us how to get our groove back with the help of Pharrell, The-Dream and a Shalamar remake, and now she’s back to smooth it out with the lovey-dovey ballad entitled “Propose.”
This beautiful piano-driven number finds Blige searching for ways to tell her lover just how much she loves him and of course there’s no better way than to ask for his hand in marriage. While I’m certain Mrs. Blige-Isaacs won’t be proposing anytime soon, as she’s been married for over a decade now, this song may be very telling of how the Think Like A Man sequel will end. But we’ll just have to see when the film hits the big screen next Friday, June 20th. Until then, press play and enjoy all of this good Mary material that this film’s soundtrack has provided us with.
