Syleena Johnson gave us a thrill when she teamed up with Musiq Soulchild last year for the reggae-tinged album 9ine last year. But now Syleena is back on her solo tip and is getting ready to release Chapter 6: Couples Therapy this fall. In advance of the set's October release, Syleena has dropped new single "Perfectly Worthless," an emotional ballad about a relationship gone wrong. Syleena laments, "I know this ain't what I deserve..." at the beginning of the piano-driven track before explaining why her ill-fated love just ain't gonna work, concluding on the chorus, "I blame you for acting like our s--t was perfect/Now I know, it was perfectly worthless."  Though Real Housewife of Atlanta cast member Porsha Williams also recorded a version of this song, it's a no-brainer that Syleena's version, filled with just the amount of soul, sass and emotion, is clearly the definitive one. Let's face it, not many can deliver a sad love song quite like Ms. Johnson can. Chapter 6: Couples Therapy  is sure to bring much more musical drama from Syleena when it drops October 7th, but you can get into "Perfectly Worthless" right now and pick it up on iTunes.
