Janelle Monáe's 'Electric Lady' Will Make You Want To Pledge Electro Phi Beta

Being that she is one of the coolest artists on the planet, it only makes sense that Janelle Monáe would be a member of the coolest sorority ever. In her latest video, the singer heads to a party thrown by the lovely ladies of Electro Phi Beta (or "Electrified Ladies" as her real-life mother mistakenly calls it). Monáe is in good company as she is joined by fellow sorors such as Joi and choreographer Fatima Robinson, while other members like Esperanza Spalding, Monica, T-Boz, Kimbra and Estelle are also there spirit. Needless to say, the event easily becomes the party of the year as Monáe and company dance, stroll and step their way into the night before being joined by a marching band -- with Janelle playing the role of drum major, too.

There's little that she can do wrong in our book, and she nails it once more in the visuals for this song. Monáe has never looked better as she continues to slowly break free of her standard look, replacing her signature pompadour with the softest, bounciest Afro on this side of heaven and even adding a little pop of color by way of a red crop top. She also reminds you of her boss status, throwing in some Samsung product placement in the process. If Electro Phi Beta ever became a real thing, I'd rebuke my current Greek organization in a heartbeat just for a chance to join in with these ladies. But don't take my word for it; press play right here and get into this sorority life goodness.
