The last time that Syleena Johnson sang to us about love, it was in the heart-wrenching "Perfectly Worthless." While that particular track spoke to our hearts about love lost, thankfully Syleena is showing us the happier side of romance with "My Love." But it's not all just about the good times on this track about the real side of love. "Truth is sometimes you get on my nerves," she sings over a groove reminiscent of the doo-wop era, listing the things that, in fact, irk her about her lover. Still, she's not ready to throw in the towel, letting her man know that her love "won't quit when the road gets tough."
In addition to the new single, Syleena also comes bearing news about her new album and label. The singer recently signed with Blackbyrd Entertainment, where she'll be releasing her new album, Chapter 6: Couple's Therapy. Though we've already got "Perfectly Worthless" in heavy rotation, "My Love" is the official first single from Syleena's upcoming album, which is slated for release on October 14th.
If "Perfectly Worthless" had you reaching for the Kleenex, then dry your eyes and take a listen to Syleena's happier side on "My Love" right here. And be sure to do as Syleena says and support R&B by picking up the single on iTunes.
