Though it hasn't resonated with us quite like some of her other songs, Banks' "Beggin For Thread" is still a great track. And it seems Banks is, well, banking on the song to be the one to get folks interested in the project, seeing as she performed it for her television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last week.
But if you weren't feeling the more mainstream pop sound of the original, Banks counters with a remix of the track by Friend Within. The remix doesn't inject some of the icy cool we've come to know Banks for, though. Instead, Friend Within warms the track up even more with a house-y take on it. The producer brings together larger-than-life kicks, hand claps and synth organ riffs along with Banks' slightly detached vocal for a hot time on the dance floor that's sure to get you into the groove.
While you can pre-order the original version of "Beggin For Thread" and the rest of Banks' Goddess on iTunes, the singer is offering Friend Within's hot remix of the track as a free download on her website in exchange for your email address. Seems like a fair trade to us. Go ahead and have a listen to the track and then make your way over to Banks' site with the quickness to get your hands on a copy.
