Dutch duo Full Crate x Mar have been working their magic a long while, and the latest to receive their treatment is "Stranger" by Chris Malinchak featuring Mikky Ekko. Malinchak's usual oeuvre is deep house, and he's seen some success with his "So Good To Me" hitting no. 2 in the UK. The original version of "Stranger" is a bubbly disco tune with Ekko providing syrupy sweet, Michael Jackson-esque vocals.
Full Crate x Mar have taken this concoction, flipped and rubbed it down and turned it into a supreme slice of future soul. They slow the tempo down to a body rolling pace, complimenting the piano-led track with pizzicato strings to share the limelight. A screwed vocal with extra bass is added to the mix to balance out Mikky's higher pitched tone. The original recipe and FCxM's refix -- the throw down and the cool down -- compliment each other well.
