Luke James Wants To Go 'Dancing In The Dark' With You

Luke James Amber Ring

With his now-self-titled debut finally on the horizon, R&B newcomer (though at this point, he seems more like a veteran) Luke James gives us another taste of what we can expect from the project with his latest single, "Dancing in the Dark." And if the title of the track didn't clue you in, this one is all about getting to know that special someone when the lights go off and the shades go down. And though it's definitely not a slow jam, it still manages to bring home the sexy and sensual.

"Look at who we are/Ain't it wonderful?/Strangers in the dark/Ain't it beautiful?" he starts off, automatically winning those of the female persuasion over with a breathy falsetto, before later adding, "I'm reaching for the parts you're afraid to show/Let your love come down, let it overflow." Well, well, Mr. James. But it's not just Luke's singing and lyrics that'll get you open. The song is fashioned over production reminiscent of some of the moody, R&B/pop fusions of the late '80s/early '90s, though it still manages to stay contemporary, mainly due to the heavy-drum programming giving it a bit of an edge.

You can look for Luke James to hit stores on September 23rd. If "Dancing in the Dark" is making you want to throw your money at Luke right this moment, however, you can pre-order the set in both regular and deluxe versions (and get an instant download of previous single "Options") courtesy of Luke's website.
