I'm not sure about the US, but here in the UK it's been pretty much impossible to go a day without hearing Jess Glynne's summer house anthem "Right Here," whether it be on the radio, blasting from car stereos or walking around shops, the song seems to be everywhere, and rightly so. With the original proving to be a smash hit, who better to add their own slant on the track than Brit wonderkid MNEK, who gave a rousing rendition when he stopped by Capital XTRA this past weekend.
MNEK stripped the track back, giving it more of an intimate, acoustic vibe allowing him to show off that killer set of pipes he has. As well as covering "Right Here" he performed "Every Little Word," "Wrote A Song About You" and "Ready For Your Love," all in a similarly stripped-back manner, showing why his debut album is one of the most hotly anticipated of 2014.
