THEN: Back in January of 2008, we profiled a one-named, 19-year-old up-and-comer by the name of Adele. Deeming the youngster Bounce-Worthy due to her lovely song "Chasing Pavements," we warned that the world should be on the lookout for the singer, as she was poised to takeover the world.
NOW: Sadly, no one ever heard from Adele after that. Sike! Adele took the recording industry by storm with her album 19, garnering two GRAMMY Awards, the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Chasing Pavements" and the coveted Best New Artist trophy. But that was nothing compared to what her follow-up, 2012's 21 would do. To date, the album has sold over 30 million copies worldwide and swept the the 2012 GRAMMYs, winning six statues, including Album of the Year. Rumor has it (see what we did there?) that Adele's third album will be arriving soon and more than likely have a numerical name to correspond to her age at the time of its release.
