Usher’s new album UR may no longer have a release date, but that hasn’t stopped him from taking his show on the road. After announcing The UR Experience Tour, the “Good Kisser” singer hit the stage to open up this year’s special broadcast of CBS’ Fashion Rocks. Rocking the Pharrell Williams-produced tune with an all-lady band, Mr. Raymond managed to put on an incredible show, as he often does, at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. While the funky number does feature a guest appearance from Nicki Minaj, this performance was all about Usher as Minaj saved her energy for her own blood pressure-raising performance of her tantalizing hit “Anaconda.”
Along with Usher and Nicki, soul star Jennifer Hudson also hit the stage for a performance of her latest single “It’s Your World” as well as returning for an extra special disco tribute at the end of the evening. As usual, each performance was sprinkled with a hint of models gallivanting around the stage in the latest styles and fashions.
