G.O.O.D. Music first lady Teyana Taylor is gearing up for the release of her debut album, VII, next month. While we've already gotten to hear the set's first single, "Maybe," and have seen the track's creative, yet kinda busy, video. For the second clip from the project, "Business," she takes a decidedly different approach.
The video opens with Teyana standing in front of a bathroom mirror, a cigarette held firm between her two fingers, as she laments a relationship that has some problems. Namely, a few nosy friends have come to Teyana with reports of her man stepping out on her. As the slow-paced ballad continues, Teyana sits on the bathroom floor, the light from the window casting the singer in a beautiful shadow, and paraphrases Ginuwine on the chorus, singing, "Ain't none of yo' friends business, Ain't none of my friends business / Boy, it's ours, baby it's ours."
Although the clip is very short, coming in at just under two minutes, it's effective in showing that Teyana can deliver both club bangers and intimate moments just as effectively. While "Maybe" has us mildly interested in VII, "Business" has piqued our curiosity even further. We'll see if she's worth the buzz when the album drops on November 4th.
