You know how you have that album that you love so much that you constantly put your friends, family and anyone who will take a listen on to it. For this writer, that album was The Rebirth's 2005 LP This Journey In. From "Stray Away" to "Shake It (Feel The Same)" to "Talking Me Down" to "Sinkin'" to "Revolving Door," that album, to me, is sheer perfection. So imagine my delight and utter joy to discover that the group has returned and with new music and an upcoming album to boot!
The group is putting the finishing touches on their forthcoming album, Being Thru The Eyes Of A Child, and have released the first single, "This Is Coming To." If you're familiar with the group and its sound, the song doesn't disappoint. For the uninitiated, "This Is Coming To" is filled with the group's signature funky guitar riffs and lush, impeccable harmonies. And while each member is an integral part of the group's sound, lead vocalist Baskerville Jones' soothing voice adds another layer that takes the soulful, funky joint out of the stratosphere.
The band has launched an Indiegogo campaign, which ends on November 15th, where fans and music lovers can donate to what is sure to be a masterwork of an album in order to help fund Being Thru The Eyes Of A Child and its launch. As well, "This Is Coming To" will be released as a single on October 21st.
