Lisa Stansfield continues her decade-in-the-making comeback. Following the release last year of her album, Seven, and singles/videos “Can’t Dance” and “So Be It,” Stansfield recently dropped Seven+, a remix album of select tracks from that set and a new inclusion, titled “There Goes My Heart.”
Though the collection appears to be available exclusively in certain parts of Europe ahead of a short tour, a music video for “There Goes My Heart” recently made its debut. Borrowing some of the “sing-like-Lisa” lip-synching found in the clip for “So Be It,” “Heart” follows a young soon-to-be couple experiencing a number of run-ins, near misses and otherwise innocent encounters. As if anyone could doubt the outcome, the pair finally caves into their building desire and makes the flirtation an official sign that they are now a couple.
In the meantime, with the tune’s disco feel, Lisa grooves to the music and the message of “There Goes My Heart,” showing she’s as pleased as the viewing audience with what transpires in the clip and further adds to the feel-good vibe.
