R&B princess Tinashe lit up the stage at the Soul Train Awards 2014 with an electrifying medley of her recent hits, "Pretend" and "2 On." Starting off in a mellow manner, Tinashe, in leather jacket, red bra and red leather pants, showed of her vocal skills on "Pretend" before switching things up a few gears as she was joined on stage by her dancers. As the music flipped into an upbeat remix of the track, Tinashe let loose on the dance floor. Dropping her own solo routine, it became all too clear why all those Aaliyah comparisons exist.
In the second half of her performance, Tinashe lost the jacket and gained some more dancers, as she moved onto the banger "2 On." Proving she's very comfortable commandeering the stage, the sultry singer and her crew kept their performance right on the money with tight choreography and high energy movements. Tinashe even threw in a few hair tosses for good measure, just in case we weren't already sufficiently convinced of her ability to dance, sing (or at least lip-sync very well) and look fabulous all at the same time.
