V. Bozeman has been quietly doing her thing ever since making a big splash on our radar in 2011 with Timothy Bloom in their music video for "Til the End of Time," which took home the SoulBounce Honors Video of the Year that year. Her grind has paid off in a major way with the singer/model/actress catching Timbaland's attention and the super producer signing her to his Mosely Music Group label. With Timbo in place as the music supervisor on the out-the-box hit television drama Empire, it makes sense that he put his artists on, and V. got her time to shine on the pilot episode.

Bozeman made a huge impression in Empire's premiere in the opening scene with Terrence Howard's character Lucious Lyon guiding her through a studio session. She stunned with her amazing vocal range and power on the song "What Is Love" and made everyone watching take notice. Viewers only got to hear a snippet of the song, but it was enough to enthrall us all and send us straight to iTunes to purchase the Empire pilot EP.

If you've been caught up in the rapture of "What Is Love" since that time, then V. is here with the song's official music video to keep the fire going. Where the song is powerful, the video is simple. It's just the singer alone singing emotively into the camera. For a song this gripping, the visuals didn't need to be more than this to give viewers the opportunity to absorb the heartfelt lyrics.

With V. Bozeman's name now on the tip of everyone's tongue thanks to her strong showing on Empire and even stronger single in "What Is Love," we sincerely hope that this newest Timbaland protégé gets more small screen time as a recurring character and more new music released soon.
